PAVEMENT ANALYSIS
CORRECTIVE ASPHALT MATERIALS provides on-site pavement inspections, pavement measurements, and ring tests.
To see if your pavement is a candidate for our products and services, CORRECTIVE ASPHALT MATERIALS always recommends an on-site inspection by a member of our team. An on-site inspection by a trained, experienced professional will reveal which pavement areas will benefit from RECLAMITE, CRF, or COHEREX, and which will not.
An on-site inspection also gives CORRECTIVE ASPHALT MATERIALS a better understanding of other application aspects, such as traffic control, availability of water and sand, and other considerations important to providing you with the best application value possible.
Pavement measurement is vital to any successful application. In order to better judge how much product is needed on a particular application, and how long an application will take, correct pavement measurements are essential.
CAM, LLC will work from an accurate diagram you provide to determine distances. If such a diagram is unavailable, CAM, LLC's experts will gladly measure application distances for you.
A third means of pavement analysis is a ring test. This test consists of drawing a circle 6 inches in circumference on the asphalt pavement to be tested. A specific amount of RECLAMITE or CRF (depending on pavement condition) is applied within one of the circles and brushed so that it fills in all areas of the circle yet does not exceed the boundaries of the circle. This process is repeated with different amounts of product in other circles.
The time it takes the particular product to break and penetrate the pavement is noted for each circle. Extrapolation then provides the correct amount of product to be applied to the pavement.
